The Mission Dolores

The Mission Dolores has a chapel and a big church. We photographed the big church.

Dolores Park

This is Dolores Park- a lovely public area to stroll in!

A street car line travels along one edge of Dolores Park.

Transitions

There's a 360-degree view after the "transition" steps. We are up above!

The Buena Vista Club

Walking all the stairs was hungry work! Sebastian joined the three of us for a visit to the Buena Vista Club, famous for their Irish Coffee! 

They serve 1500 of those per day!

At the bar are seated several ladies, all on a "James Bond" adventure, posing as "Bond Women." Complete with loaded squirt guns.

Behind them is my partner in crime, pretending not to notice their undercover operation. 

The Buena Vista's very big windows opened out onto a view of the wharf.

Just imagine all the courting that has happened here over the years!

Here was our table - great view of the woodwork.

Many Pictures focusing on the Lincoln and Hidden Steps

We started out at the Lincoln Steps. Here is Pippa walking up.

Here are the Moraga Street steps, looking down. Much less interesting, because the tiles are on each rise, not on the top surface.  My partner is the bright spot here, smiling up at me!

We parked at Lincoln Golf Course, which is quite near Lands End, where we hiked.

Here is the beginning, the Lincoln Steps.

We did the Lands End Trail, which had these great views of the Golden Gate.  18mm zoom.

We went to the Castro Theater where Pippa enacted the "hitchhiking motif."

Pippa and Sebastian

We visited Pippa and Sebastian August 21-22 of this year. One thing we endeavored to do was to see some of the amazing tiled stairs in SF.  Before we embarked on our stair quest, though, Sebastian treated us to his favorite hike- Corona Heights Park. We saw lots of things at the overlook, including this cute pair perched atop a rocky outcrop. What a great start!
